 US Night Vision AN PVS-14 Delta - PVC14D. The AN/PVS-14D from Northrop Grumman (Litton E.O.S.) is a light weight,multi-purpose, monocular night vision with similar key features found in theAN/PVS-7B/D single tube night vision goggles. The objective and eyepieceassemblies allow attachment of similar accessories and the head/helmet mountadapter is exactly the same. Also available is a weapon mount adapter to allowthe system to be mounted on the M16/M4 Picatinny style rail. A long list ofoptional accessories allows configuration to meet all customer requirements.
The U.S. Army has adopted the AN/PVS-14 as its standard monocular device. Itis a self-contained system operating on 2AA batteries and features manual gaincontrol to meet various brightness conditions. A red low-battery indicatorappears in the eyepiece when battery replacement is needed.
The system also features a projected IR LED for short range illumination forsuch activities as map reading. The AN/PVS-14 is supplied with the Militaryheadstrap for hands-free use and has many optional accessories. Each system fromNorthrop Grumman is built to current U.S. Military specifications and ships withcertification of performance specifications from the manufacturer.
